Savoiardi Finger Biscuits

Savoiardi originate from the Piedmont region of Italy and were created in the 14th century for the House of Savoy, after which they are named. They are made by whipping egg whites and yolks separately with sugar and then gently folding them together with flour to maintain a light, airy batter. The mixture is then piped into finger-like shapes, dusted with powdered sugar, and baked until they have a golden color.
